The Shaw Brand

   Shaw Services LLC’s company logo is based on the Shaw cattle brand. This brand was registered to my grandfather Gerald Shaw. Gerald’s ranch was located about 7 miles south of Cardwell Montana in Summit Valley.

    The 4 over 5 cattle brand was used on the rear end of 30 – 40 unwilling calves for approximately the same amount of years. When Gerald retired some 50 (ish) years ago and moved to Missoula to be near his children, the family let the registration expire.

   Though the brand is no longer a registered working cattle brand it has made an excellent logo for the Shaw family business for the past 30 years. It is steeped in western Montana history and brings back a lot of fond memories for the four Shaw boys that got to run wild on the ranch for a week or two every summer.
